Blog Expansion

I was forced to return to the dreaded world of HTML today, as I explored the source code for the template upon which this blog was created. I only wanted to add some links, but quickly realized there was so much more to be tweaked. Writing code is the reason I dropped computer engineering back in college, opting instead to pursue regular old power electrical engineering, rife with hippie delusions of alternative energy and saving the world,.. but that's another story.

So keep on the lookout for some streamlining and tweaking of this site. In the meantime, check out my modest list of links to the right.

  • I gave your blog another once over...and like most blogs it is longwinded and self indulgent. Copious self indulgence: the cornerstone of any blog.

    I mentioned humor earlier: Being funny is a way to progressively reward the reader for plowing through the written version of your boring life. Humor is not the only way to do this. I focused on humor since the spectacle of you attempting drama or suspense would kill any mammal capable of literacy.

    I'd suggest concluding each paragraph with an intentionally humorous one sentence summary in red. That way people who don't give a shit can skim. Picture captions serve the same purpose and are essentially the same idea. Plowing though it as is taxes my attention span.

    I'm sending you a special treat to post on your site that will make people laugh while barfing.

    I agree with you on the subject of picture captions. Some of these things are begging for one-liners. I will research the possiblity of adding picture captions.
